Press Release
On October 11th, 2018, the Oklahoma Access to Justice Summit was held at the Oklahoma Bar Association in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This event worked to raise awareness around the access to justice gap and encourage lawyers volunteering their time to help Americans of low economic means with their legal problems.
About one in five Oklahomans qualify for free civil legal assistance but more than half of those may be turned away due to a lack of funding. Oklahoma lawyers want to address this problem and make the necessary changes to the legal system.
This year’s Oklahoma Access to Justice Summit featured notable guests, access to justice data, training programs, and sessions that counted toward MCLE credit.
